Just make it a presidential recess appointment and be done with it. The senate is emasculated from any objective, critical, independant Q and A, so WTF IS THE POINT OF THIS????

Hey, we're at the point of no return anyway, aren't we? The president is now king. Confirm him without knowing who he is. The next president may just be a democrat inheriting a long-term occupation. War powers are passed on. Alito is the precedent, currently coached by the administrations legal defense for its wiretapping boo-boo. Yoo and others are making a killing on legal fees I bet.

So go ahead. Don't answer any questions about presidential powers or stare dicysis, but don't come crying if the dems take those precedents and run with em.

Libertarians should be absolutely outraged by this sham. The constitution is at stake, and under "shock and awe", with these hearings.
