Default Alito vs. Madison

"With the high court widely expected to rule on multiple cases involving questions about presidential war-making, the War Powers Act and domestic manifestations of the Bush administration's so-called "war on terror," the position of every justice on issues of executive authority becomes more significant. And potential changes in the court that might make it more deferent to an executive branch that appears to be bent on eliminating all checks and balances as the confirmation of Alito would surely do are, necessarily, the most consequential of matters.

What is at issue here is not a gray area of legal interpretation. The authors of the Constitution were absolutely determined to prevent presidents from making war without the consent of Congress and from abusing a state of war to curtail domestic liberties." http://www.madison.com/tct/opinion/c...php?ntid=68131

Enter Alito. Alito was a good choice for Bush's budding fascist state as he wants to grant the executive branch greater war powers, in direct conflict with the US constitution. This folks, is the very definition of an activist judge.

This guy is great at skirting the important questions about war powers, apparently to hide the fact that he embraces the idea of the executive branch calling all the shots, from declaring war to declaring the constitution suspended during perpetual war.

And oh, by the way, the nomination of Harriet Miers was nothing more than a "Red" Herring, a simpletons choice, who was never intended to go anywhere- another corrupted political brainchild of scumbag fascist sympathizer Karl Rove.

Alito- you appear to me to be a true enemy of liberty. Have some f'ing bricks you neocon bastahd

I figured the reich would have no response. Once again, I'm proven correct.

So exactly what judge do you have in mind that either political party would nominate? What about Janice Rogers Brown? She seems pretty "libertarian".

Supreme Court Nominee:
How about that Judge up in Vermont who just gave a Pedophile that had been raping a 6 yr old girl for two years a SIX MONTH jail sentence.
The "Uncle Teddy" gang would love that guy.

LIBERALS BELIEVE THAT CRIMINALS SHOULD BE FREE AND VICTIMS SHOULD GO TO PRISON YUP, MORE BRICKS
