No, the point is that they support the Dem's health care reform bill. But, like I said earlier I think they would have aligned themselves with either party.

All these industries seem to want to be on the side of what ever is going to pass (looks like reform), minus the Health INSURERS. For some reason they can't play ball. Big Pharma was quick to jump in with an 80 billion commitment up front, understanding that they only market they make duckets is teh US one.

Healthcare Insurers on the other hand have done nothing but drop coverage, and iincrase rates this year....

Looks to me like Pharma is betting on reform, and wants to still make $$.

and Insurers are betting that Tea-baggers will fight for them while they keep taking cash for lack of coverage and increased premiums.

Yeah that's pretty much it in a nutshell. But we are off topic. Now I know you find it appealing to make sure all of those whom are uninsured, get insurance. For me as someone whom has great insurance, what I like about the GOP's version is it's a starting point. A place to start making incremental changes to the system mostly focused on cost. Make the insurance more affordable. If you go back to page two, PatsfaninMaine gives a good link about some of the tenants to the dem's plan. The one part that I particularly don't like is one's inability to get any of the price breaks offered on the basic plan, and that you have to start on the basic plan for two years prior to subsidy. Why shouldn't I be able to buy better insurance for my family if I afford it. They let you, but you have to start out at a much higher price, through the lack of subsidy.
