It is, according to organizers, "the hottest ticket in political history": On February 25th, former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton will share a stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Interested spectators can pay $60 for the cheap seats or up to $160 to be closer to the action. They can also shell out $1,250 to attend a ****tail reception with the former presidents in addition to the discussion.

Sorry looks like Bush turned tail. I don't blame him, who'd want to be a punching bag?
It doesn't look to me like Bush is the one who called it off. I know you really want to believe in fairy tales, but at worst it looks like a mutual decision.
"Clinton spokesman Matt McKenna said the appearance was never slated to be a "debate" and was actually a moderated panel discussion with the 42nd and 43rd leaders of the free world.
"This event ... was supposed to be a discussion between the two former presidents, and has been cancelled because it was not being billed as such by an overeager promoter," McKenna siad."
A "debate" between former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush "has been nixed because the promoter overhyped it as a death-match faceoff between the men," the New York Post reports.
A Clinton spokesman "said the appearance was never slated to be a 'debate' and was actually a moderated panel discussion with the 42nd and 43rd leaders of the free world."
I didn't think this would happen as I feel it is somewhat unpresidential for two presidents too debate post presidency. I feel this way cuz it's unfair to the man in office. These two men have had their chance, and have served their country, how about letting the guy in charge right now, do his job, without two former bosses duking it out in public. It simply didn't sound right to me when I first heard it, especially since these guys are best suited to be cordial to each other, for the sake of raising money for charity. Sitting on a panel and discussing issues, as they say was the original plan, seems more appropriate than them debating on stage. Too bad that won't happen, but oh well.
BTW, Slick Willy would have easily mopped the floor with GW IMO. Bill Clinton is as smooth as they come in these settings. He could probably convince you it's raining outside, while your sun bathing at the beach.

"The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him." Leo Tolstoy, 1897
