If the libs have thier way---they will wait until Israel or NYC are a smoking hole in the ground before they start asking "what did the US do to upset them"? And then another year or so before the democrats put up thier hands in surrender.

So right!

And if George Bush gets his way, we'll invade a country with no WMDs and which presents no threat to the US and tie up our military in an endless and futile quagmire so it won't be able to deal with real threats like Iran!!

Oh, wait...

The Iran situation is a direct result of Bush's Iraqi policies.

Just as Bush used fear to get re-elected, the right-wing of Iran used fear to defeat their relatively moderate government (in democratic elections). The current situation is direct result of our war on Iraq, and what makes it worse is the war on Iraq took out Iran's most powerful enemy and replaced it with a government that is likely to become allied with Iran. If Saddam Hussein was still in power, it's likely that the moderates in Iran would have stayed in power and that Iran would have had to devote most of its resources into its conventional army, rather than in things like nuclear weapons.

Boy, I sure wish our military was available to deal with this mess. I've been saying for 2 years Iran and North Korea are the countries of concern. Here's North Korea, practically jumping up and down yelling "We have nukes, we have nukes" yet we STILL went into Iraq instead. Do you think our military might has no limits and we can engage the whole world?

Bush will take care of Iran, and they know it.

Our military is stretched, and its hard to conceal that fact now that Mission Accomplished has turned into an un-ending quagmire.

Bush has done what no president in my lifetime has done. He has weakened the US military to a point where conventional operations have been removed from the options list. How scary is that?

No, my friend, Bush may make decisions for other people, but he himself will not go over there to fight. A streched, tired military will suffer more deaths than a ready, rested one. Reasonable people can debate whether invading Iraq was necessary, but what's not open for debate is that military power is finite, and America does not have the resources to fight every nut-with-an-army in the world.

In the medical field they have these things called "triages" where they prioritize patients for treatment.
