Save the planet: time to eat dog?
This has really become a mental disorder for some people. Nevermind that it's (MMGW) a sham designed for profit, be it personal, global, or governmental. The followers are have become cult like. Eat your pets? You can't have a dog, or cat? WTF? This is lunacy on an extreme I haven't seen in some time. Just the other day Gordon Brown was saying we have 50 days left to save the world, or some crap. What loons. Reminds me of those big wigs a few years back who were meeting to discuss endangered species, or the environment, and served an endagered fish as the main course.

The eco-pawprint of a pet dog is twice that of a 4.6-litre Land Cruiser driven 10,000 kilometres a year, researchers have found.
Victoria University professors Brenda and Robert Vale, architects who specialise in sustainable living, say pet owners should swap cats and dogs for creatures they can eat, such as chickens or rabbits, in their provocative new book Time to Eat the Dog: The real guide to sustainable living.

"If you have a German shepherd or similar-sized dog, for example, its impact every year is exactly the same as driving a large car around," Brenda Vale said.

"The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him."
Leo Tolstoy, 1897
