Recovery.gov was created by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to provide unprecedented transparency about how Recovery funds are being used, and increase accountability to guard against fraud, waste, and abuse.
This website allows American taxpayers to see what entities received Recovery money,
and how and where the money is being spent. These questions are answered through easy-to-understand, user-friendly graphs, charts, and maps.
An investigative journalism organization filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to obtain a copy of the redesign contract and the government’s response was anything but transparent. Nearly half of the pages are blacked out and completely illegible. The contract’s technical proposal, essentially the document’s main body, was redacted completely. The blackouts were defended by the Obama Administration as a prohibition against the release of propriety information.
Why are we not allowed to know how Recovery.com spends thier money?

If they received any money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 that would be fine. A search of Lockheed produces 2 results.

Leave it to Judicial Watch to try to take credit for something that other groups have already been pursuing, but Judicial Watch largely lost their credibility with their relative inaction and ineffectiveness during the Bush years. They proved they're merely a partisan political group, without a principled foundation. And the fact that they don't even give credit where credit is due shows just how unethical they are.

Of course, a far less redacted version of the contract should be released, and I presume that will happen.
Judicial Watch filed quite a number of lawsuits during the Bush administration. Here are just a few. To claim they are bias is disingenuous. We do agree though that a more complete account of Recovery.gov is needed.

You single out lockheed, but ignore the most obvious fraudulent contractors...Haliburton, Xe and Wackenhut... I am really in favor of transparency for everyone, because very few realize how much we get f...ed every day by these contractors...

Don't you see the duplicity and hypocrisy that congress goes after ACORN after entrapment videos?? All the while these defense contractors..commit crimes and continue to defraud the government.. this ain't about George it is much bigger than that. Open you eyes you will be amazed, or keep asking for more koolaid.
