Pay him no mind, Mrs.P.... Reign is the president of this board's "Nothing to See Here" therapy group, fashioned after the teachings of the great Francis P. Drebbin:
YouTube - Nothing to see here
These people adhere to a strict set of tenets that invariably go something like this:
- never acknowledge criminal U.S. foreign policy, ... deny, deny, deny... or, if you must acknowledge such a documented unpleasant truth, immediately deflect and sugar coat to something good the U.S. has done, so that it's all "put in perspective."
- pretend "infinite growth" is a viable term, and that free market capitalism is a flawless model.
- attempt to ostracize anyone acknowledging serious problems in U.S. foreign or domestic policy, even when they offer solutions, and especially when they suggest reparations and/or good will.
- pretend U.S. government-sanctioned genocide was essentially "worth it" considering the end result, thus encouraging (perhaps indirectly) more of it in the future.
- insist anyone citing documented geology or climatology in regards to the affects of gluttonous burning of fossil fuels is somehow a scholar of "Kookoo science" or a lobbyist for "liberal agenda." ... Also, whenever possible, suggest those people "hate America" for even acknowledging such warnings.
- preface pro-hegemonic ideals with the phrase "I'm no fan of Bush, but..." a whole lot.
- demand that anyone speaking out about U.S. sanctioned atrocity should thus "move to another country," as if only quiet loyalist sheep deserve to live here.
- pretend dissent is unhealthy, regardless of what Jefferson or Henry ever said.
and, above all..
- pretend "optimism" is a policy.
- conflate calls for accountability and change with a desire to see America fail.
