Al Sharpton to NFL: Block Rush Limbaugh bid for Rams - USATODAY.com

NEW YORK (AP) — The Rev. Al Sharpton wants the National Football League to block conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh from bidding on the St. Louis Rams. Sharpton sent a letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday. He said Limbaugh has been divisive and "anti-NFL" in some of his comments.

Just because you do not like his politics, does not mean he would not
be a good owner.

Al Sharpton is a joke. Who in their right mind would listen to that racist?

Thanks Darryl ... when I posted that thread I figured it would go for a few months. There's been lots in the media and that one was sure to pick up traction.

I was waiting for Al and Jessie to get involved with this discussion. I guess it's racist against racist.

Rush responds... blah, blah, blah.... same old shyt different day...

Limbaugh addresses critics of his plan to buy the Rams | ProFootballTalk.com

Quote:
But instead of Limbaugh directly challenging those who supposedly are misrepresenting his words, conservative web sites are implying that Limbaugh never said that which declined on Monday to expressly deny saying. At NewsBusters.org, for example, Scott Whitlock calls out MSNBC for relying on Steelers linebacker James Farrior as the source for the quote. In so doing, Whitlock calls the "slavery had its merits" quote "dubious" and describes it as something Limbaugh "supposedly" said.

Look, either he said it or he didn't. And in referring to an item from the Post-Dispatch that troubled him because it suggested that he supports slavery, all Limbaugh had to do was read the quote that Bryan Burwell attributed to Limbaugh and saw, "Folk, I never uttered these words."

Honestly, Sharpton probably cares less. He's just looking for a way to keep his fat head in the limelight. And he is damn good at it.

It's been a few months since Al was in the spotlight, he was overdue for another "hey, look at me" moment.
