That's great news for the troops and their families. Too bad Bush didn't start listening to the Democrats sooner. By the way, a number of Democrats have called for troop reductions, but what Republicans have? And, as far as the economy goes, that's good news, too, though President Hillary will have to contend with a record budget deficit in order to sustain the growth and fight the social ills created by the increased number of people below the poverty line or without health insurance.
Republicans can't worry about the Iraq mess, too worried about who Jack Abrahamoff will roll over on when he makes his deal. Spending a lot of time working on Rovian tactics to discredit the judiciary who indicts them, and leaking stuff to Novack, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Savage and Coulter to spread venom against the legal community who are charged with doing their job.
