Big responsibilities demand big rewards. (Ask Michael Jordan and many top pro athletes .... hmmm.)
On the other hand, the gap between the ultra rich and those living out of garbage cans is inexcusable. No way to justify it.
But turning over 90% to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid???

and yet you just tried to in the previous breath.
how do you think Mr. Lewis did with his "big responsibility" then? Are you aware of Bank of America's recent shady history? Probably not.
My favorite is the one where they handed out credit cards without requiring a SS number. My second favorite their habit of jacking up interest rates with no explanation at all.
Credit card issuers have drawn fire for jacking up interest rates on cardholders who aren't behind on payments but whose credit scores have fallen for other reasons. Now, some consumers complain, Bank of America is increasing rates based on no apparent deterioration in their credit scores at all.
The major credit card lender in mid-January sent letters notifying some responsible cardholders that it would more than double their rates to as high as 28%, without giving explanations for the increases, according to copies of five letters obtained by BusinessWeek.
Big responsibility, indeed.
Perhaps next the Citibank CEO can get a nice golden parachute also. Then we can talk about their comfy synergy with known drug money laundering Central and South American banks.

a prick? REALLY?
You come to these conclusions based solely on the number of zeros in the compensation he negotiated with an employer? Hmmmmm. Interesting.
That's almost as bizarre as saying people that jump to phantom conclusions about someone's character based on their income level are pricks too.
I bet Kraft makes a lot of money too. He always seemed like such guy, it's hard to imagine that "he's a prick".
Seriously, not that the guy is remotely worth that much money (he's not)..... but dude, try to keep the rage somewhat in check.

What's cute in all of this is that BofA now wants $6 and a finger print from me to cash a check, apparently because there's reason to think I might be a criminal I could live 1000 years and never come close to this clown.
I dunno about the rest of the nation, but BofA has an armed security guard in front of every branch in eastern Mass. I bet its not in defense against bank robbery, I bet its in defense of angry customers. Next will be boiling oil over all the teller stations.

I guess if Lewis's responsibilities were to run the bank into the ground he was worth that kind of money. Seeing that BOA almost went Bankrupt last year, and needed a bailout to stay in buisness.

Sorry pal, but you don't sound all that bright. You definately come off as envious, jelous, and borderline communist. Well, maybe not communist, but certainly an extreme socialist.
So how much did BofA get in bailout money? When you see people protesting, or upset, this is the reason why. Cuz our money went to bailout these insititutions, and people in these institutions, are still getting paid handsomely. Granted, this is a pension payout, that was in place long before the financial crisis. Still though, it pisses people off. Oh, one other thing I'd like to add. If it's simply the sum that aggrivates some of you, then I hope you get equally upset when Tom Cruise makes a movie, Tom Brady signs a contract, or the Redsox resign Jason Bay at the end of the year. The sum, all by itself, should never be the issue. The details of how said sum was obtained, is what should.
