I'll respond to you and PFiVA in this single post. Of course both of you make valid points that reflect reality. The main point I made and I've been making for a number of months is that racism is NOT nor has it ever been a democrat vs. republican issue. Racism is wrong, PERIOD. It's commited by people, not by political parties.

We have too many people who come to this board to further divide us along party lines. My question is; "Why do people waste so much time & energy trying to rationalize why they are on the side of righteousness and attempt to demonize the other party?"

Tio me, that's childishness and stupidity. Take that as you like.

They did not hide it, his name was Chris Boughton and he was affiliated with Glenn Han**** of the VIper movement... he was a prop though, if this happened at a Bush event they would have been in solitary in Leavenworth for the rest of his life.. no trial.. and would use him for new waterboarding methods..

You are correct Harry. A black man carrying an assault rifle AND a holstered pistol was at an anti-health care reform rally and NBC only showed the man's back (with guns in view) and said he was white.

In my opinion, the rift between democrats and republicans comes down to "the haves vs. the have nots". Personally, I like what I have and am not willing to "Give" any more back to our gov't to help others. The gov't has enough money to accomplish that as it is. Just cut back on defense spending if they wanna give more to the have-nots. Otherwise, get off your butt and do something with their lives.

We have far too many peoplle who see themselves as victims when they're not. As Kevin Garnett said, "Anything is possible"...but only if you work like he did to make something happen. Kevin Garnett did not grow up on an equal playing field yet he achieved everything he ever dreamed of.
