Just because you and NEWSMAX say he was a dem, does not mean he was.. he has been writing for NEWSMAX since 2001... hardly a dem sanctuary..

Well the fact her served in the Carter and Johnson administrations identifies him as a dem, see his bio at newsmax.

Bio at NEWSMAX..:

Robert Gates works in the Obama Administration, does that make him a Dem??..

Is Dick Morris, because he worked for Clinton still a Democrat???

There is little info on this guy, except for about 150 articles that he wrote for NEWSMAX since '01... he is a republican, despite what they say, he may have worked for Johnson and Carter.. that is 30 years ago.... you cannot be anywhere near that dumb or that much of a Lemming that you believe any of this crap are you??

If you are, feel sorry for you... didn't you argue last week that O'Reilly was a Dem.. even if he was a dem, advocating the overthrow of the gov't by the military is a serious offense.

Getting away from the Rhetoric.. is is ok for a columnist to advocate for the violent overthrow of the US gov't by the Military???? And then to come out and say a Dem did it.. none of it makes any sense, and seems to violate the law...

Nope, but if there is one thing that this world is not short on, it's crazy people with goofy theory's (on the left and right).

Just to add balance to this thread and the planet, HERE is a that lefty whacko Gore Vidal coming to that SAME place with an end around from the left.

So there you go. Two seperate crazy people, one lib, one con, both saying the same thing. Hunker down for the coming military coup.

The basic difference is that Vidal does not call for violent overthrow of the government by the military.. he fears it. If you want the whole article, rather than the condensed version may want to read this...

Gore Vidal: ‘We’ll have a dictatorship soon in the US’ - Times Online

Quote:
His voice strengthens. “One thing I have hated all my life are LIARS [he says that with bristling anger] and I live in a nation of them. It was not always the case. I don’t demand honour, that can be lies too. I don’t say there was a golden age, but there was an age of general intelligence. We had a watchdog, the media.” The media is too supine? “Would that it was. They’re busy preparing us for an Iranian war.” He retains some optimism about Obama “because he doesn’t lie. We know the fool from Arizona [as he calls John McCain] is a liar. We never got the real story of how McCain crashed his plane [in 1967 near Hanoi, North Vietnam] and was held captive.”

Vidal originally became pro-Obama because he grew up in “a black city” (meaning Washington), as well as being impressed by Obama’s intelligence. “But he believes the generals. Even Bush knew the way to win a general was to give him another star. Obama believes the Republican Party is a party when in fact it’s a mindset, like Hitler Youth, based on hatred — religious hatred, racial hatred. When you foreigners hear the word ‘conservative’ you think of kindly old men hunting foxes. They’re not, they’re

Not the point chief. I got the tone and tenor of his argument and see the difference between the two. My point is his theory and reasoning is every bit as whacko.

So yeah, he's just darkly predicating that one will occur. Doesn't matter, it's just as friggen ludicrous to suggest. Our military has no interest in these politics, and the mere suggestion that they do demeans their honor. Typical lefty crap that has NO BASIC understanding of our military and what they stand for and Value.

There will be a coup......... in 2012. The people will rise up and choose to remove the guy currently serving, or choose to keep him there for another 4 years. I bet it will be quite peaceful and not involve the military at all. At least, if history can be a judge. This other stuff........... no matter who is spouting it, is all CRAP.

It is not about understanding the military, it is about violation of the law and how it is espoused by right wing publications that operate under the guise of the first amendment... their situational view of the constitution and the world works is appalling.

Interesting how you phrase this left crap, when it comes from one the major crappers of right wing venom.. NEWSMAX... btw and election is not a coup.

The far left wing liberal "obama worshipers" just can't bring themselves to believe or even imagine that there are millions of people in America who "don't want obama"

America is slowly heading towards DICTATORSHIP, this young man (obama) who desperately wants to be America's first Dictator has his little band of loyal followers and idolizers (the pelosi gang) together in their Rush To Rule America they are overlooking "the people" the American people dread the thought of America becoming another Third World Dictatorship, the people will rise and fight.

In all the lands with dictators Military Coup's are a Fact of Life.
