Kids say the Pledge of Allegiance in school. Wouldn't that be a nationalistic song? Before you bash me I support the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance. I think it is proper to teach kids to have pride in America and that includes the President, no matter who it is.
That's to the country not to a particular person. When it's changed to "I pledge allegiance to barack obama . . . " then there will be a problem.

A friend of my daughter went to it and said that they started off by bashing Democrats. They also were preaching anti-abortion propaganda and that made her feel uncomfortable since her mother had a miscarriage and had to abort the fetus. Not a thing to subject to 8th graders. She left when they started spouting about the evils of video games. Not sure how accurate this info is since it is filtered through a couple of 8th grade girls.

You can't please everyone. Fact is, Obama is still a popular president. And once the economy recovers and Afghanistan is resolved, he'll be even moreso.
Meanwhile, the most recent poll has Obama's approval at 56 percent, despite the fact that the country is still mired in a giant ****pile.
obama is doing nothing to make it better, he's just piling on. Thankfully we'll have less Dems in Congress in a little over a year, they'll still have majorities across the board but not these super majorities. And the next Presidential election will be very interesting as obama will have to run on his own record and not just "I'm not Bush".
