Default The Left Used to Not Trust Anyone Over 30 and Instigate Dissent

Now it's reversed itself. Here Strangers to Dissent, Liberals Try to Stifle It Michael Barone has an irrefutable analysis of the situation.
Quote:
This comes naturally [stifling debate] to liberals educated in our great colleges and universities, so many of which have speech codes whose primary aim is to prevent the expression of certain conservative ideas and which are commonly deployed for that purpose. (For examples, see the Website of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, which defends students of all political stripes.) Once the haven of free inquiry and expression, academia has become a swamp of stifling political correctness.
It's with good cause that Chester Finn has called American universities and colleges "islands of repression in a sea of freedom."

Now Obama, who knows little else but this repression, is attempting to expand it, nullifying the American experiment in republicanism.

Gone are the days of the self-reliant man in this country. Talk about a dying breed! We're nearly extinct, Harry Boy!

Irrefutable analysis, does not work well on an opinion board.. what is the sense of arguing if the evidence cannot be refuted??...

Good job, no veiled or obvious racist comments.. there is hope.

Many Things A Liberal Will Try To Label Racism Is Usually Realism, the left wing goofy slobberer becomes sexually aroused when they see an opening to say "racism"
The "Race Card" will be right up front for the next four years.

"obama's ears look like ping pong paddles"
That is racist to the loon

"i don't care for Obama's health plan"
That is racist to the loon

"Obama smokes"
That is racist to the loon

"Obama's mother was white"
That is racist to the loon"

"Samson Obama is a child molester"
That is racist to the loon

"I didn't vote for Obama"
That is racist to the loon

ALL OF THE ABOVE IS TRUE BUT SHOULD YOU MENTION IT YOU ARE "RACIST"

The right-wing is so naive that it could actually fall for that column? In what vocabularly is the call to an end of bickering an act of "stifling." Not only does bickering imply two sides, but it also is something that we dissuade children from, but perhaps not in the author's household. The bickering has nothing to do with intelligent discourse, or with those on either side who make intelligent cases one way or the other. And as far as conservatives telling lies, well the death panels are lies unless the right wing also favors shutting down insurance company panels. And the scare tactics are lies with claims going out that the health care plan will lead to euthanasia, discrimination against whites, and other absurdities. The lies of the right are well documented. After all, they advocated a war based on lies and still have not taken responsiblity for the 4000 American troops those lies cost us.

As far as stifling speech, I see no evidence of speech being stifled, just typical political dialog with Obama largely rising above the fray to foster intelligent argument. But, as this insipid column shows, the right wing is without much intelligence right now. It's dying a slow but certain death. Those white men who Lawrence Auster referred to (in State's other link) are becoming increasingly irrelevant, but no doubt they are still dangerous.
