Very different than what you stated. Also, more proof that Obama was full of *****:

I love how you can't actually respond to any of the substantive points, so you just cherry pick excerpts from your article as if that will make your case for you.
You post this:
Quote:

While the report found that federal subsidies to obtain health coverage would be restricted to U.S. citizens and legal residents, it also noted that the bill does not specify a citizenship verification system, something that critics say creates a loophole for undocumented immigrants to receive subsidies anyway ...
|
Which is PRECISELY what I've been telling you all along. You know why the bill doesn't specify an immigration verification system? I'll try this with you one more time. Because it clearly specifies that the establishment of citizenship verification rules fall under the purview of the Secretary of HHS. I mean, how difficult is this to comprehend? Obama is against coverage for illegals. You seem to think Sebelius would go against his wishes?
Regardless, despite your protestations to the contrary, there is still no evidence that this bill would cover illegals.
Finally, why don't you do a little research into the Center for Immigration Studies. From their Wikipedia page:

FAIR, CIS and NumbersUSA are all part of a network of restrictionist organizations conceived and created by John Tanton, the “puppeteer” of the nativist movement and a man with deep racist roots...CIS was conceived by Tanton and began life as a program of FAIR. CIS presents itself as a scholarly think tank that produces serious immigration studies meant to serve “the broad national interest.” But the reality is that CIS has never found any aspect of immigration that it liked, and it has frequently manipulated data to achieve the results it seeks.
|
...and
Quote:
Conservative scholars, such as Stephen Bainbridge have described CIS as embarrassing to the rest of the conservative scholars in regards to the statement that CIS made that immigration was the cause for the Financial Crisis of 2008.
Also, Linda Chavez has described them as having a basis in racism, and cloaking it in national security and other national issues, with Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly agreeing.
|
Wow, sounds like a really reputable outfit! And as long as you're cherry picking quotes, how come you didn't use this one:
Quote:
But with passage of the health care bill far from certain in its current form, it is too early to know how undocumented immigrants could be affected by the bill, Tamar Jacoby, president of ImmigrationWorks USA, told CNN.
"I'm pretty skeptical that illegal immigrants will come out of this legislative battle" with any new benefits, she said.

Face it, bud. Your goose is cooked.
