Obama did not lie when he said the policy would not cover illegals. Your heroes are merely extrapolating a theory that suggests illegals won't be checked closely enough for citizenship. That doesn't make Obama a liar.

There is nothing in the bills setting out any standards for determining illegals. There is language that says that illegals won't receive treatment...but, without any way of figuring out who the illegals are...

So, in the end, you would have illegals receiving treatment under the bill. That makes Obama a liar.

Oh, and since the BILL states that the Secretary of HHS will dictate the criteria, only proves that criteria has not been established - thus, illegalies would be included. You just proved yourself wrong.

There is no singular bill, since the Senate has not yet passed their version and thus it hasn't been worked out in commitee. I was referring to the House bill only. That doesn't change the fact that there is no basis for Joe Wilson to claim that the bill covers illegals and to call the president a liar for saying the bill will NOT cover illegals.

Logic is not your strong suit, is it? It has not yet been determined what the citizenship eligibility requirements will be. It does not follow that illegals would thus be included. It's up to Sebelius how stringent or lax the standards she implements would be. Given that President Obama has unequivocally stated that illegals would not be covered, and that she would be commiting political suicide (not to mention harming the administration) by including them, logic dictates that illegals would in fact not be covered. This case is further strengthened when you consider legislation in front of the more conservative Senate does not provide coverage for illegal immigrants. It is unlikely, to say the least, that such coverage would be added in committee.

I hope this makes sense to you now.

Nothing in this article contradicts anything I've said. But actually, now that you mention it, it actually makes sense to allow illegals to purchase their own insurance without subsidy, rather than relying on emergency room care at the taxpayer's expense.
