Sent to me by a medical doctor friend in New Hampshire; he's 13th generation American:
Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:
* Number of States won by:
Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
* Square miles of land won by:
Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
* Population of counties won by:
Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
* Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won
by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republicans won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..." Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

29 to 19 in a 50 state country seems pretty easy to dispute to me. Its not like Ron Paul or Ralph Nader or some other 2nd tier candidate earned any states that year.
For the record Obama won 28 states plus DC and 1/5 of Nebraska's electors.
If this guy will throw a whopper into something as obvious as the number of states in the country I really can't be bothered with checking the rest of his bullschit. I do wonder about the USA having 580,000 square miles worth of government owned projects though.

Now granted, we should get rid of the current system that overrepresents rural populations for legislative and electoral purposes, but were we to strictly proportionately represent the electorate, the Republicans would be more of a joke than they've devolved into at present.
Looks pretty shoddy, not getting the state count from the election right. Maybe the thread title should be "Can this be credibly supported?"
Foggy.
Check your crap before you post. Anyone coulda guessed it was bull*****, but nooooooooo...not you. Everyone else has to bust their arse to discredit all the crap you throw out.
Don't be so lazy, if not outright full of crap.

Nyah, nyah, nyah. Essentially it's all correct, even for the 2008 election, though I now find it was written to reflect the 2000 results (hence the question of two remaining states, Florida and .... New Mexico??).
But, in general, it's on the mark. Snopes -- "right-wing" cabal that they are -- says it's "mostly false", but what do they know?!! They have an axe to grind, at least some who work for 'em do.
Bottom line: as we have seen from the Town Hall meetings, from the ~2 Million march on DC a week ago, and from numerous other incidents over the summer, the American People are NOT comfortable with the radical agenda Obama-Pelosi-Reid have cobbled together just for the sake of "taking control". Bad, bad, bad. It puts ENORMOUS added burden on the economy JUST at a time when we absolutely do NOT need it. Yet these radicals are hell bent to ram down our throats very strange and untested additional government programs ..... this is simply not what America is about. Sorry, it's not.
