Your post would make sense if any of them had suggested blowing your brains out or jumping off a bridge or maybe sucking on a tail pipe as a way to demonstrate party loyalty.
I was 11 once, I know all about becoming a blood brother. It doesn't involve slashing your wrist. Its a tad more understated.
