Default Cindy Sheehan Going to Martha's Vineyard - 8/25/2009

Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox: Cindy Sheehan heads to Martha's Vineyard to Confront Obama on the War

I think the moderates will begin to like her a bit more ... perhaps?

Quote:
There are several things that we wish to accomplish with this protest on Martha's Vineyard.

First
of all, no good social or economic change will come about with the continuation or escalation of the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Secondly
, we as a movement need to continue calling for an immediate end to the occupations even when there is a Democrat in the Oval Office.
There is still no Noble Cause no matter how we examine the policies.

Thirdly, the body bags aren't taking a vacation and as the US led violence surges in Afghanistan and Pakistan, so are the needless deaths on every side.

With Bush she was The Darling Of MSNBC they couldn't get enough of her, Matt (mouse face) Lauer suggested having a Statue of her erected in the lobby of the NBC building, Mush Mouth Matthews carried a picture of her in his wallet, Auntie Pelosi wanted to have sex with her, now lets see what they think of her when she starts parading around in front of their Holy Messiah's vacation house.

To get the "real story" you all will have to go to Fox News, MSNBC & CNN will be busy with Sarah Palin.

Cannot stand Cindy Sheehan, cannot stomach her whine.. but she does make some good points here. As a poster child for the anti war movement it is epic fail..

All I know is she better not bring a camera phone. There's no cell phones allowed on the Vinyard anywhere in the vicinity of the First Family according to Michael Graham of 96.9 FM (our local poly talk radio channel btw)

I wanna know just how the rich people know when its time to go back to the mansion to eat their Lobster Tails and Pink Champagne without the clock on their $600 cell phones?

On an entirely unrelated note, Bo, the Portuguese Water Dog the FF has for a pet, has his own Secret Service code name. Its FIDOTUS

Watch her end up going "unnoticed" while on the island by most of the local and national media...unless she gets arrested for something.

She is beyond her cause, she's been nothing more than a publicity hound for the last couple of years...especially after her run for office last year against Nancy Pelosi.

She is beyond her cause, she's been nothing more than a publicity hound for the last couple of years...especially after her run for office last year against Nancy Pelosi.

To be fair she was used and abused by many left based groups. She realized that when she almost overnight went from someone with a noble cause to a protesting loon.

Problem was she was taking her marching orders from those same groups who pretty much dictated her schedule. She had people in her organization who were spies for the left, right and center. The spies were ready at a moments notice to pull her plug - and they did.

To her credit she reorganized, downsized, and learned from her mistakes. People may or may not agree with her but at least she's acting of her own accord now which has to be more comforting to her.

Cindy, Hillary, Sarah ... any woman who gets too much media attention ends up being portrayed as a loon ... it really sucks to be a woman with a cause ... just ask Geraldine Ferraro.

You can't veer off course with The Left Wing the minute you head for the middle of the road they will destroy you they are ruthless, Sheehan's trouble really started when she began to criticize Pant Suit Hillary thats when the Susan Sarandon gang dropped her like a hot coal.

If Cindy demonstrates against His Highness Prince Barack she will be the recipient of "The Sarah Palin Treatment" from the Liberal Left Wing Media, they will say all the things I said about her when she was down in Crawford Texas.

GO GET EM CINDY BUT BEWARE YOU ARE ABOUT TO CALLED "RACIST"

ABC's Charles Gibson to Cindy Sheehan: Thanks for your sacrifice. Now get lost. | Washington Examiner
Charles Gibson of ABC in 2005:
Quote:
August 9, 2005, the ABC anchor conducted an extensive on-air interview with Sheehan. "Cindy Sheehan is her name," Gibson began. "She says she's not moving until the president meets with her, and I had a chance to speak with her a few minutes ago.

During the next week, Gibson and ABC continued to cover Sheehan. On August 17, 2005, when Sheehan left Crawford, Gibson reported, "We're going to turn next to the standoff that is playing out near President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas. Cindy Sheehan, you know, the mother who lost a son in Iraq, is now on the move, but she's still standing her ground.

ABC's Geoff Morrell is in Crawford with the details…" The next day, Gibson reported, "All across the country last night, people held candlelight vigils in support of Cindy Sheehan…".
Current:
Quote:
It's such a sad story. Martha Raddatz [of ABC News] wrote a terrific book about one battle that took place in Iraq, and it was the battle in which Cindy's son was killed. And you look at somebody like that and you think here's somebody who's just trying to find some meaning in her son's death. And you have to be sympathetic to her. Anybody who has given a son to this country has made an enormous sacrifice, and you have to be sympathetic. But enough already.

Cindy Sheehan in her own words ... calling a spade a spade here:

What happened to the antiwar movement? Cindy Sheehan hits 'hypocrisy' of Left, Democratic allies. | Washington Examiner

Quote:
After my column,http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/po...-53506047.html appeared Tuesday, I got a note from Cindy Sheehan
Quote:
" I read your column about the "anti-war" movement and I can't believe I am saying this, but I mostly agree with you. The "anti-war" "left" was used by the Democratic Party. I like to call it the "anti-Republican War" movement.

While I agree with you about the hypocrisy of such sites as the DailyKos, I have known for a long time that the Democrats are equally responsible with the Republicans. That's why I left the party in May 2007 and that's why I ran for Congress against Nancy Pelosi in 2008.

I have my own radio show, "Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox," and I was out on a four-month book tour promoting the fact that it's not about Democrats or Republicans, but it's about the system. Even if I am surrounded by a thousand, or no one, I am still working for peace"
