Default WTF? Lockerbie Bomber To Be Released!

A Scotland judge has decided to release the only person arrested, convicted and jailed for the bombing of Pan Am flight 103. The terrorist supposedly had terminal cancer and will be released on compassionate grounds..........................and the 259 people murdered by this terrorist will remain dead.
I'm at a loss for words.

I am not a real big death penalty advocate, but this why I don't like the argument "they'll never see the light of day". In some case I guess they will.

There is a few cases were I believe the ultimate punishment is necessary, looks like this is one of them.

I wonder if he has any compassion for the victims families.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

I'd say it depends on how far along the Cancer is. If he can't walk up a flight of stairs anymore then fine, let him go home to die, otherwise F him.

Dying in Jail is ok... acting "compassionate" in this case is not.

Try reading your own linked article, then maybe you won't have to ask "WTF".

Quote:
He was convicted in 2001 of taking part in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 on Dec. 21, 1988. The airliner — which was carrying mostly American passengers to New York — blew up as it flew over Scotland. All 259 people aboard and 11 on the ground died when the aircraft crashed into the town of Lockerbie.

But a 2007 review of his case raised the prospect that al-Megrahi had been the victim of a miscarriage of justice, and many in Britain believe that he is innocent.

The Rev. John Mosey, whose daughter Helga, 19, died in the attack, said Wednesday he would be glad to see al-Megrahi return home.

"It is right he should go home to die in dignity with his family. I believe it is our Christian duty to show mercy," he said

Oh, ok. That clears it up. Scout shouldn't be "WTF?" shocked that a convicted terrorist, who murdered 270 or so people, is being let free. Afterall, that type of thing happens everyday. Can I get an amen Reverend Mosey?
