Default Barney Frank goes toe to toe at health care town hall

A lot of people don't like Barney Frank, but he knows how to stand up for what he believes. This is how to handle the town hall situation.

Barney Frank goes toe to toe at health care town hall - CNN.com

WOMAN: "Why do you continue to support a Nazi policy, as Obama has, expressly supported this policy? Why are you supporting it?"

FRANK: "When you ask me that question, I am gonna revert to my ethnic heritage and answer your question with a question: On what planet do you spend most of your time? ... As you stand there, with a picture of the president defaced to look like hitler, and compare the effort to increase health care to the Nazis, my answer to you is, as I said before, it is a tribute to the First Amendment that this sort of vile contemptable nonsense is so freely propagated. Ma'am, trying to have a conversation would like be like trying to have an argument with a dining room table -- I have no interest in doing it."

You won't find many Barney Frank supporters here flex. I know you like him, but since you & agree on much, I don't understand how you can like what he stands up for or how he does it.

He would spend us into bankruptcy if he had his way. A definate socialist.

That Barney Frank is a rude little Queen. I'm glad they gave it to him. He puts his panties on like everyone else, one leg at a time.

I'm ambivilent towards him, but i like how he stands up for himself though. There is a certain group that blames Frank, Carter, and Dodd for for whats wrong in the world. I never really paid much attention to him until he started being vilifed.

There are waaayyy too many people to blame for the mess we're in to point fingers at individuals. Mass greed is the real culprit.

I "think" that Frank believes EVERYONE should own a home...a totally ridiculous thought.

No he gave it to them. Anyways if i were a congressman or a senator and someone called Obama or "W" Hitler i'd have the same reaction. It cheapens the death of 70 million people.

Does that mean calling Stalin is in play, or labels are for cans!

A Hitler comparison is definately uncalled for.

Like i sid i don't really pay attention to him, so i don't know if thats his position or not. My position on the matter is its crazy to think everyone is Entitaled to own their own home. During this housing bubble these lenders giving out houses to crack heads, people that in no way could afford to pay the mortgage. It all came down on their and OUR heads. But it was greed driven, it hasn't been proven to me yet that Frank, Carter, and Dodd were responsible. The people doing the lending and the irresponsable people signing for the houses were responsible.

Barney Frank is fukcing clueless. He's one of the "affordable housing" people.

YouTube - Barney Frank in 2005: What Housing Bubble?

But hey, Barney likes to have a civilized conversation you know.
