Press, hope you read this, I have been waiting for that Movie also, I saw something 12 years ago that still scares the ***** out of me every time I think about it, but can you imagine somebody like me telling anybody about it, never.

A person has to be brain dead after looking into the Universe to think that we are all there is.

IF ANY TYPE OF LIFE FORM EVER SHOULD TRY TO OPEN THEIR DOOR AFTER LANDING ON OUR PLANET AND EXTEND ONE OF THEIR LIMBS IN A FRIENDLY GREETING THE FIRST THING THE HUMAN WILL DO IS TRY TO KILL THEM.

Cant wait to go it's gotten really terrific reviews and the plot looks really interesting. Its such a different take on the 'aliens' come to Earth themes that we've seen so much in movies.

I was skeptical at first, but I'm really getting psyched for this movie. I was a tad wary of perhaps a forced social message, but the best sci-fi movies usually do have social commentary of some sort. This is acutally a great twist on the typical sci-fi story of aliens coming here for some higher purpose. Furthermore, this looks like a gritty more realistic type of film (like one of my favorite movies ever, Blade Runner), rather than polished with shiny special effects.

Can't wait.

*edit* - And if anyone here likes good sci-fi, there was a film that a lot of people missed called Moon. It's not so much a story of aliens and such, but a creepy thriller about a man alone on a research base on the moon. It didn't have a large release, so it's probably not in many theaters now. So netflix it! Here's the trailer:

Good drama's are hard to come by today everything is geared toward the Air Head Audiance that watches Sit Coms and Soap Opera's thats where the Money is, the Hollywood movie makers always have to throw their political messages in there but most people learn how ignore that ***** and focus on the story if it is a good drama.

I imagine this District 9 movie will be about "Bad Human Good Alien" but who cares as long as the story is interesting, I wonder if they have stuck some more Global Warming Crap in it.

Reagan & Bush are the evil humans in it............

I saw a synopsis of it a few days ago a completley different take on the whole alien genre. I believe i read the writer from South Africa really didn't intend to make any profound statement, it was the way things were around him as he grew up.
