They disrupted rallies, they came in to shout people down. They intimidated, they smeared, they did all of this.”

He's right. Some of the people hired guns by the parties, but I think many, from both periods in question are legitimate. I think it's stupid to jump on anyone who is honestly and civilly questioning policy. Our system was setup for debate, not steamrolling whenever one party gets in power. Open and honest debate would be best, but neither side likes it when they're in power.
So you and Stewart are admitting that what they were saying about the anti-war protesters was in fact correct, but they should be saying it about the healthcare protesters, also?

Its 100% Cool with me if you protest, its about as american as it gets. But when you resort to smearing, and shouting down...you become irrelivant. Stewart is pointing out the utter hypocrisy of the conservatives during the Bush years, and especially the commentary by the FOX anchors at the time.
Best part of the video is when they quote Glenn Beck...then BOOOOO when told to shut the TV off when he is on.

I HAVE heard commentators call them dumb, and call the disruptions of debate unamerican. I agree with that. to use the terms Nazis, and communists etc is silly.
