Harry Boy, I love Paris and love France, but the French aren't particularly liberal. In fact, in my opinion, their politics are more like ours than anywhere else in Europe. They are taking the Muslim fundamentalist battle directly to their Muslim community. They have always been staunchly in favor of the separation of church and state. By the way, Paris has had more conservative mayors than liberal ones. Right now they have a liberal one.
