1. They can't do it;
2. They can't argue logically, basing their arguments on mere emotionalism and what Bertrand Russell calls "the driving force in a democracy"--envy. [I enjoy the occasion person of a leftist persuasion calling a guy like G. Gordon Liddy, who is often dismissed as an elderly, idiot crank, and the caller is almost certain to be greatly outclassed. I mean, it's not even close.];
3. They intolerantly don't like the ideas expressed by talk radio, which threaten their hegemony they work so hard to inflict, starting with the young children in Kindergarten reading "Heather Has Two Mommies." Liberalism is a form of "soft" tyranny.
It's not enough they control the government bureaucracies, Hollywood, education, and the media. They want it all, like the immature children they are.
I hesitate to say the latter rather harsh conclusion if not for this fact: most liberals can't be bothered to have children. That would, after all, require putting someone else's needs ahead of their own.

I'm not sure you know what the word logic means. Progressive thinkers are hardly merely emotional. In fact, you don't even present an argument in language here, choosing instead to simply make an unsubstantiated claim.

As opposed to the hard, unthinking and oppressive tyranny of the right?

I listen to conservative talk radio. Limbaugh, Levin, Savage, Hannity etc.... Its fukcing HILARIOUS that you think the media is 'liberal'. That theory has been debunked by none other than NEOCO-pimp himself William Kristol:
"I admit it," he told a reporter. "The liberal media were never that powerful, and the whole thing was often used as an excuse by conservatives for conservative failures."
Let alone the fact that over 80% of the talk radio is conservative. I live in SF, which people will consider to be a very liberal city, we have ONE progressive talk station and 5 conservative ones....I $h!t you not.
In the end, its not about format, or brains, or the ability to mold an argument...its about financing. I think we can agree that Rush Limbaugh started the conservative talk boom back in the 90s. He did so with 2 YEARS of funding from coonservative groups looking to nail Slick Willie. In the radio biz, you either need to have enough duckets to survive off of scraps for a year, or have a very rich bunch of friends who want to see you push their agenda. Rush had the latter. His show never profited for 2 years plus. Thats a recipe for faiure, but not when you have big backers. Its a simple fact that there is more $$ behind the conservative agenda.
Conservative talk isn't talk....Its a soapbox made to spew marching orders for old white people...HONESTLY.
I'd challenge you to listen to Tom Hartmann. Unlike many conservatives, if not all of them, Tom allows debate on his show. These debates are informative, he tends to book topical guests who disagree with him. Its not a single mind musing talking points to you, Tom challenges you to use YOUR BRAIN when you listen.

You obviously don't
Well to be fair to State, he starts his post off with the notion that the left (liberals) can’t do talk radio which makes them mad because the right (conservatives) do it so successfully. Obviously he's acknowledging that talk radio is not liberal so what’s with the “what liberal media" rebuttal?

to be fair to myself and apple...
"It's not enough they control the government bureaucracies, Hollywood, education, and the media. They want it all, like the immature children they are."
he DOES mention it as his intro to his closing.....its fair to address the percieved liberal media as he describes it.

I wouldn't want a broad unthinking anger and hate generating propaganda outlet even if I could have one. I prefer an honest debate.

Because he claimed that liberals control the media.

Duh, not talk radio though. He starts off by saying that flat out.
He claims the media is liberal outside talk radio and the article rebuts that, using examples from television and print. Read his quote. It clearly says that he thinks liberals "control ... the media." Which we rebutted. Talk radio is not in the equation in the rebuttal.
I'll let you all banter about the lack of a liberal media, and merely point to how the mainstream media, ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, MSNBC, etc, have treated Obama. They haven't asked him hard questions. EVER. I haven't heard anything about how terrible Obama is handling Afghanistan, even with the Brits saying how mucked up this administration is on that. The tv media is, most certainly, liberal. Just watch it sometime. I don't need some article to tell me what I can see with my own two eyes, and hear with my own two ears.
