Love how fools stick up for wall street bureaucrats who you overpay to make medical decisions based on profits and stock prices, that can only go up by denial of coverage, and increased premiums. Then try and scare you with "government bureaucrats"....Who the flunk do you think is running your healthcare NOW? A doctor???? get real.
Great buisness model when dealing with widjets, not human beings.
Get the profit OUT of insurers, and put it BACK into the doctors, hospitals and general care for fellow americans.

+1. If the police were run by a private corporation you'd have right wing idiots in here parroting the propaganda that government should stay out of the policing business. Anytime megacorporations hijack a cash cow like this you're bound to have a bunch of lemmings running falling for their campaign. It's sad that people can't think for themselves.
Some things shouldn't be run by profit motives, healthcare is one of them and the U.S.' system is a prime example of why.

Single payer would have the same problem, just replace "profit" with "affordability". You will still get turned down for things you want but instead of it being for "profit" it will be because it's not "affordable".
However if I'm dissatisfied with the decisions my insurance company makes I can change insurers. If I'm dissatisfied with the government's decision - I'm S.O.L.
