Although he has no doubts that Obama was born in Hawaii, he sides with the "birthers" that what the President has so far put forward is inadequate. A "certification" of birth is not the same as a "certificate" of birth.

Furthermore, he says the more we learn about Obama the more questions there are, such as his not mentioning his 1980/1 trip to Pakistan in his 850-page autobiography even though he stayed with important people. And there are embellishments in Dreams of My Father that fellow co-workers have called the president out on. It's likely that not only was Obama a Kenyan citizen, but perhaps also an Indonesian one as the young son of Lolo Soetero. Contrasted with the media's desperate desire to dig up some dirt/gossip on Sarah Palin in Alaska, there's been very little interest in the President's past even where legitimate questions may be raised.

Patsfan already posted a link to an article showing why the release of his long-form b.c. would not settle anything. After all, if he released his long for b.c. and it showed that it was applied for by mail, or by a family friend who witnessed the birth, or by a deceased doctor, the birthers would simply raise a new set of questions. Perhaps some of the righties are naive enough to believe the issue would go away if Obama provided even more info than the State Dept. requires, but the author of the article is simply dishonest.

The birther issue is all about honesty ... that is what the issue is about.

The man has cleverly wiped away his past.

He is not transparent and he is not honest as the media claimed him to be.

In fairness ... neither was GWB or Clinton but it's looking more and more that Obama is neither more or less honest than them - it's looking like it's a wash and status quo at the very least.
