Default Obama Lied About Keeping Private Healthcare!

Page 16 of the proposed healthcare bill, no future private sector insurance will be allowed after January 1st of the following year after the passage of the bill. From the bill word for word...

Quote:
“(A) IN GENERAL.—Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the effective date of coverage is on or after the first day...”
Obama flat out lied about keeping your private healthcare if you wish to keep it. If you ever decide to change jobs, or get laid off - you will be forced into public healthcare (except if you become a U.S. congressman or president). Welcome to the new change - are you now a believer?

I think we need a few more details.
Sound a little odd to me.
So you're saying that everyone will need to be on gov insurance?

Here is an article from Investor's Business Daily:

It's Not An Option

Quote:
When we first saw the paragraph Tuesday, just after the 1,018-page document was released, we thought we surely must be misreading it. So we sought help from the House Ways and Means Committee.

It turns out we were right: The provision would indeed outlaw individual private coverage. Under the Orwellian header of "Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage," the "Limitation On New Enrollment" section of the bill clearly states:

"Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" of the year the legislation becomes law.

So we can all keep our coverage, just as promised — with, of course, exceptions: Those who currently have private individual coverage won't be able to change it. Nor will those who leave a company to work for themselves be free to buy individual plans from private carriers...

Sounds like mumbo jumbo.
With maybe a dash of spin.
No offense.

There is no healthcare plan yet. It's still being negotiated. First both houses must vote and approve a plan. Then they must get together and settle their differences. At that point, Obama will have to decide whether the plan is good enough. But, so far Obama has lied about nothing with regard to healthcare because there is not a plan yet, only proposals.

The Energy and Commerce committee, along with two other House committees, is scheduled to take up the bill Thursday. So there is a bill, of course not final. But this was on PAGE 16!!!! What other goodies will be found in this 1,000+ page bill? And the Pelosi wants the House to vote on it late next week.

If there is a bill, there is a plan. A little research goes a long way, try it.

We are long way from having a health care bill. The only point I'm making is that Obama has not lied until a bill becomes law. Obama is unlikely to take a stand on a bill until it is further along in the process.

Obama continues lying UNTIL he gets what he wants. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama has a secret 'tax' plan for his supporters in the bill.

When I see it, i'll show it here so that everybody can laugh at 'innocent' people.

No, your exacts word were, "There is no healthcare plan yet." My point is that you were wrong, as there is clearly a bill.

And you are, again, wrong. Obama is already supporting the bill in the House - so therefore, he is already taking a stand.
