I have no idea how accurate that link is, but it looks similar to the Herald's data base of local government salaries. At any rate, assuming it's legit, WTF is this?

BRUCE MALKENHORST

$41,639.57 monthly $499,674.84 annually - VERNON

That just seems impossible, which makes me wonder about the sites legitimacy. Who knows though, the City of Boston has over 400 people earing six figures, and the State of mass has thousands who do.

Pensions are a major problem for just about every locality in the country. Not sure how we are going to survive this era as more and more boomers retire with fat pensions. This will continue for another 20 years or more as pensions are etched in stone I believe. On the one hand I guess some would say the money drives the economy ... well perhaps in retirement areas.

None of this will change until we smarten up and stop voting republican and democrat all the time .. .we need more other party candidates to break up the party.

There was an article in the Pro Jo I believe and it said something like 40% of the RI retirees live in Fla.. the illusion of them contributing to the local economy is what it is.
