This is as sick as it gets. A human being cannot go any lower than this, yet here he was working in a very repectable well-paying job at Duke University, no less. This is why "stoning" was invented. This is beyond comprehension.

Frank M. Lombard - Health Director and Accused Child Molester

Frank M. Lombard, associate director of the Center for Health Policy at Duke University was arrested and charged with offering his adopted five year old son for sex acts.

The arrest warrant states that a person, later identified as Lombard, used video chat on the internet to perfom sex acts on a child under the age of ten. The child was later identified as one of two adopted children of Lombard. The complaint says Lombard's chat room ID lists him as "perv dad for fun."

The warrant states that an astute police detective contacted Lombard through Yahoo! Instant Messenger. Lombard admitted performing sexual acts on his adopted five year old son. He wrote that he would drug the boy with Benadryl before molesting him. He admitted that he waited to molest the boy until his partner was out of town.

Here's a link to a Google News child abuse search. Since, a couple of righties seem to be really into child abuse news, they might want to comb through this:

You could probably narrow the search by using child rape, instead of abuse, if it's the sex you're interested in. Or perhaps try child rape homosexuals if it's only that kind of news that interests you.

I don't think anyone on the right or left condones child abuse. Those who commit such crimes are either criminal or mentally ill. Unless you're trying to make a generalization or stereotype, then I don't understand why you are posting this story.

I don't think most of the posters here are into child abuse at all, Patters. But to ignore it when it happens is to compound the crime. Criminals hope they will fly under the radar.

This is a very serious issue, and since it involves a man who was "in partnership" with another man -- a means to adopt the two children in the first place -- it points to very serious dangers of same sex relations and, even more alarming, their legal recognition. Only the totally self-deceived would argue otherwise.

Of course, when you choose to look the other way at your own Reverend's failings as a father -- his youngest son committed suicide, his daughter-in-law's tell-all book about his corruption -- you appear to lack objectivity. The crime you cited is horrible, but it is not fair to generalize about gay parents based on individual crimes. If I posted a couple news stories about dad's abusing their daughters, would you then object to heterosexual parenting? Your point is bigoted and stupid.

The issue of the thread here is about this unconscionable abuse by a man of a child that he, along with his same-sex "partner", had adopted. To make matters even worse, the child is a racial minority, a black child, abused by this white man. I'm genuinely sorry if this is an inconvenient reality for you to see, but it cannot and must not be swept under the rug; and you can be sure that it will not be. I do not contend that *all* same-sex couples do this kind of abomination, but this heinous crime cannot be ignored.

At a time when same-sex couples are seeking trust and acceptance by the mainstream, this does not bode well for that cause.
