Default Children of gay couples speak out

Here NEP something for you to chew on. The dudes one of YOU.

'Gayby boom': Children of gay couples speak out - CNN.com

family values, small government and his lesbian mothers' right to marry.

Jeff DeGroot on hiking trip with his mothers, Elisabeth, on his left, and Meg Grear, on his right.

1 of 3 Levey is part of the "gayby boom" generation. The 29-year-old management consultant is the son of a lesbian couple who chose to have a child through artificial insemination. He's their only child.
Critics of same-sex marriage say people such as Levey will grow up shunned and sexually confused. Yet he says he's a "well-adjusted heterosexual" whose upbringing proves that love, not gender, makes a family.

You can imagine what my parents thought when I was 13 and listening to Rush Limbaugh everyday," Levey says. "But my family had strong family values. I was raised in a loving, caring household that let me be a free thinker."

I have no problem with lesbians adopting children, gay men on the other hand, no way.

For whatever reason my wife and I have lived next to a lesbian couple with a child or children since we were married ... various places of residence. Every one was nice, the kids were nice ... it was like a regular marriage of 2 happy sometimes miserable people like the rest of us parents. small sampling but real and not from the media. We presently have 3 such households on our block ... all nice and excellant parents just like any other couple who care for their children. One is a white couple who adopt African-American kids ... very, very nice family.
All those kids go to my sons local public school with him ...

Not sure if I can put in to words, it is just a gut reaction. I am not in to lesbian porn so this has nothing to do with that, but lesbians seem to be a more "natural" situation, lesbianism doesn't seem to be as much about the sex as it does the companionship. Plus the white elephant in the room is than women are 99.9% less likely to molest a child.

I see your point even though they're based on personal perception. Here's a useless anectdote that'll do nothing to settle this arguement:

My friend (no-it's not me) is trying to get custody of his son and daughter from his drug-addict ex-wife. He can't prove anything yet, so he's been striking out in court so far. The reason is because of prejudiced attitudes like yours. Your stats may or may not be right -I haven't looked- but fathers have a tough time getting their kids away from psychotic or abusive ex's because everyone thinks women are always better than men when it comes to child-rearing (that didn't sound good). There's a lot of crazy women who get away with murder because of anti-male prejudice.
