While we are making generalizations, is it also fair to say lesbian couples are less likey than gay male couple to engage in this type of child abuse. If women have less of a capacity to rape we should conclude that the world should only be full of lesbian couples. Not the lipstick ones, the other ones.
When minorities play into a stereotype it hurts their cause. Those men are as sick as Jews who worked for the Nazis. But, the good news is you had to cover two continents and two months of news to make your point. Not much evidence of a trend.
Conveniently, you don't source the info that gays are 40x more likely to be abusers. I'd like to see a legit study that supports that. The only studies that come close to making those kinds of claims are ones that assumes any man, even a married man with kids, who molests a boy is homosexual. As to the stats: An adopted child is safer with gay males than straights, by and large, and safer with lesbians (as I understand it,) than with gay males. I also know arrangements such as group homes and the loving arms of the state are less than ideal "families", for all you "family" advocates.
That said, I have an idea: How about if the government sent him to another county, and put him in charge of child services somewhere where nobody had heard of his pedophilia?
Let's face it, that's what the "celibate" priesthood has done on numerous occasions. Not all priests, that's not the point. Just a far higher number than gays who adopt.
Should priests be allowed to have contact with children, Catholic or otherwise? That's the same level of accusation, once you add the usual hot-button words like perverts and sickos and the like.
