Most of the folks I knew who did tours in Europe, were the kids who had influence.. most of the kids I knew who did tours in Nam were generally the poor kids with no influence..

I am the sole surviving son of a sole surviving son of a life-time service EM/field-commissioned pilot officer. They took that into consideration, I assume. I didn't even have to serve if I had chosen not to.

You will never know about my family's contributions, which are significant, as that is a boundary issue.. all I know if I was a favorite son, would not brag about it.. would not want to be lumped in the same crew as Limbaugh, Bush and the rest of the neocons and theocons who send young men and women to war, while they sat on their asses.
