Wasn't this the same bunch of black robes that put Bush in office? He may have something there. No, really.

Maybe to pampered and over-protected by big brother unionized you it sounds like too much, but, don't worry. After China takes over America and makes it her biitch, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy "real empathy" from that style of government.
Sin in haste, repent in leisure.

It has nothing to do with being pampered, unions or religion, it has to do with understanding how our government works and respect for the constitution... it also has to do with respect for the Supreme Court.
Would you want your son or daughter to be strip searched by school officials over suspected ibuprofen?????

If my child attended a school that was having a drug problem, and the officials that I entrust to do their job of keeping the school as free from drugs and other crap as possible, and if they thought they had probable cause that my child might be hiding drugs, I would have zero problem if they told him to strip to his undies and give 'em a shake. Zero problem with that. In fact, I'd be happy if they did that if they have sufficient probable cause to suspect.

Is "sufficient cause" suspected ibuprofen, for a person who has no known hx of drug abuse ???
Personally do not trust too many officials with this type of thing the potential for abuse is too high, and too many kids have been advantage of. This is also a 13 year old girl, and beings separated and then being told to strip can be a very uncomfortable..
Here is the decision, might want to read it and all the facts...

If I ever caught some sexual abuser doing anything to my kid, you won't even find his (or her) bones. Gone without a trace. Forever. Sexual abuse is the bottom of the sick shiit pile. I have zero tolerance for it.
But checking for drugs in kids' underwear is NOT sexual abuse, in and of it self. Show me a sicko who abuses though, and refer to first paragraph.

The potential for pedophiliac behavior in this situation is extremely high, this "trauma" can also be escalated as there was a personal invasion of a 13 year old girls personal rights...
When you send your child to school you expect professional boundaries and a certain sense of decorum, in this case none of this happened... all they had to do was isolate the child, and call the parents to pick her up. The whole thing could have been avoided, but these school officials chose to do it their way, and subsequently violated her 4th amendment rights.. very seldom are there 8-1 decisions in the Supreme Court, that is about as close to consensus as you will get.
I suspect you did not read the decision.. or at least the summary.

You sound surprised he didn't read it....Succinctly put, the court wrote
>>Here, the content of the suspicion failed to match the degree of intrusion.>>>>
That's it in a nutshell. They went way overboard for a couple of over the counter meds...

There is no such thing as going overboard when brain-washed members of a criminal cult are talking about Authority and it's limitations. There are no limits for Authority when you've been indoctrinated into accepting it for the "benefits" of "security". That's why people join cults...they are afraid of the outside world, are insecure about their ability to think and act on their own outside of the prescribed norms, and need their "group" to defend themselves from perceived threats which seem to be coming from everywhere.
When you look at cultists that way, there's no wonder why they willing bend over for Authority. Freedom means nothing. The more the oppression and suppression of ideas, the better. Get in line!
