Default I.Q. It's largely inherited

Regardless of the fictions of the media. Here's an example. Almost Two Orders of Magnitude

Sir Cyril Burt was right in his identical twin studies. Arthur Jensen is one of the great social scientists now living. 12/01/02 - "A King among Men: Arthur Jensen"

BTW, IQ is the most studied concept in the social science, and the evidence is repeated in hundreds and hundreds of studies: IQ is both meaningful and largely inherited. Didn't you read that in _The Bell Curve_?

I don't want to mention that East Asians score five to six points higher than whites, because that might be against forum rules. Or is it all right to do that to whites, as opposed to politically preferred minorities?

It's all very confusing.

Your I.Q is based off of how well you retain information, not how smart you are.

So what if others can retain information better? imo don't really mean jack
There's plenty of ppl that can retain information great but when it comes to finding out new things or doing somthing they havent read or study about they become stupid.

All in all I.Q is a joke a want-to-be measuring stick of one's abilities.

Okay, IQ is largely inherited. So what. What point are you trying to make?

I think that some aspects of IQ are inherited, but there are many studies that show its possible to increase one's IQ if they're in a good environment, eat healthy, have a good education, etc.

Wow, what an admission, Patters.

Good question. Here's a start: Elites to Anti-Affirmative-Action Voters: Drop Dead by Heather Mac Donald, City Journal Winter 2007

"The dream of universal brotherhood, because it rests on the sentimental fiction that men and women are all the same, cannot survive the discovery that they differ." ~ Christopher Lasch, New Oxford Review (April 1989)

Quoted from Lawrence Auster's booklet The Path to National Suicide

It seems like a different discussion, one I'd be happy to engage in. But, what does the article have to do with inherited intelligence?

Here's another discussion that we could have as a result of understanding how IQ is largely inherited: 02/27/02 - The Intelligence Of Nations

I have a feeling that this subject, which is not so verboten in East Asian countries, will gradually be discussed more and more in the upcoming decades.

When Einstein was asked some trivia questions by reporters he replied [paraphrased] why should I use my head as a warehouse of knowledge that can be easily looked up. It's not what you know it's how you use it. I've stated this on here before. Knowing E=MC2 doesn't make you a genius. When people say the people on Jeopardy are so smart I correct them and say they are knowledgeable but, intelligence and knowledge are not synonymous. Want to impress me with your intelligence? Invent something clever. Prove a concept no one else has ever thought of. I couldn't care less what your grades are/were, your IQ is or how good you are at trivia.

My IQ is 167 - the last time I took it anyway.

May explain why I'm not a lib.

May further explain why I'm an idiot.
