Default Democrats are the new Republicans

YouTube - NEW RULES Bill Maher Jun 19, 2009 10 51 PM

The democrats in congress are becoming the worlds biggest B!TCHEZ! We all watched as the republican majority passes every frickin tax cut, and even a war by simple majority. There are 60 democratic senators......and they are being spine-less jelly fish! They are being exposed for who they really stand for.

The 2008 election was about a number of key issues, Bill Maher lays them out quite nicely during the last 2 minutes of his 'new rules' commentary.

Americans are behind at least a public option on healthcare by 71%.

Yet I heard Dianne Feinstien tell me that she may not have the votes! WTF?????

The mandate is:

Higher taxes on the wealthy
Universal Healthcare
Exiting Iraq
Closing Gitmo
Gun control
social justice.

these congressional reps are showing who is their daddy, and its not the citizens of our country. Its corporate intersts for the next election. This mandate and 'debate' on healthcare will prove it.

I'm lucky, I get to vote out Feinstein, and Pelosi and Boxer if they keep up this $H!T.

I'm watching you ladies.

You should be happy healthcare is #2 - I wish it were lower. Regarding public option vs. "universal healthcare", I'm not sure many people understand the options at a high level, let alone the details so the poll number doesn't mean too much.

I think what most people actually want is :

- What they've got.
- Help the uninsured get insurance.
- Lower healthcare costs when possible.

Which definition that fits into is debatable but I think that's what most want.

Agreed on what most want, but thats not what the democrats in congress are saying. They claim to not have the votes for a public option. Which is what the people polled said they would support. More than 2/3 of americans want this, and these peeps in congress aren't sure?????

They must be out of their mind.....

Those 71% knew what a 'public option' meant, or they would've said "no opinion' ...which is what 8% of them did.

The public option seems to be a bridge to universal single payer.

I'm just wondering when the democrats will become like the republicans in the early part of the decade, using a majority to move the agenda they ran their campaigns on. So far I have yet to see it.

as of today, they are complete B!TCHEZ....

I don't think most Americans want to be on Medicare which is what Single Payer would be.

Doing some serious viewing, I see, Holy Diver.

Are you the kind of guy who thinks watching Jeopardy! is reading the Encyclopedia Brittannica?

Don't forget the comma for nominative forms of address, eg, "I'm watching you, lady."

How pissed must Jon Stewart be that this idiot is stealing his schtick. Or is it the other way around?

You'll walk taller if you follow through and clean house (and Senate) by getting rid of those phony posers. Three of the worst things to ever happen to the US Congress ... and to America.

Who's your daddy?

I agree with you, but probably for completely different reasons. Then end result is the same. So lets agree to agree....
