Because how can i expect him to truly interpret the laws as it's written when he is not willing to his life 'straight'?
In another word, if he is willing to go out of the 'normal' way to satisfy his desire or need, he certainly will change the rule as he sees it.
You are not a professional! A person's ethics come before their own personal identity. Any decent judge will rule from a set of principles, not on a case by case basis. Those principles will once in awhile come into conflict with a particular case, and then you get such anomalies as Scalia ruling in favor of Larry Flynt in a case of slander brought by Jerry Falwell. That is why Sotomayor has a conservative record in terms of her rulings on discrimination:
Now as far as the whole "normal" thing goes, that's just outdated talk, a represents a point of view that religion has espoused, not science. There is plenty of homosexuality throughout the animal kingdom, so the only thing that's abnormal is your view of it as a threat to you (at least when it comes to the courts).

Prop 8 is a big deal in CA. If a gay group files a lawsuit to stop this prop 8 and this gay judge is hearing the case, do you expect him not to 'respect the voter's votes' so that he can 'legally' marry his man?
I call it a 'conflict of personal interest'.

I think a gay judge will rule according to his or her interpretation of the law. They are more likely to be liberal because the gay experience showed them first hand the effects of discrimination and homophobia, but that's by no means guaranteed. The fact is that gays vote about 25% Republican, even in the last election. Do Jewish judges automatically support Jews? Do white judges automatically support whites? Do conservative judges give kneejerk support to conservatives? A good judge is going to make his or her decisions based on their philosophy, not the a defendant's sexual orientation, race, religion, or anything else. I don't deny there are a handful of corrupt judges, but they are few and far between.

Will he do it even if it is against his 'personal interest'? I doubt it. YOu don't have to be a 'gay' judge to protect 'gay marriage' because the 'straight' judges in CA,MA, and another state have done it.
What was ILLEGAL could mean LEGAL now.

Your posts are barely coherent but they certainly are ridiculous. Might as well just lock yourself in your basement and curl up in the fetal position cause the scary icky gays are all coming for you to turn you gay like them! Run for the hills!
It's actually quite sad (and slightly amusing in a very pathetic way) to watch bigots try to justify their hatred. You'll all be on the wrong side of history on this one, that much I can guarantee.

I'm on the wrong side any way according to liberal's point of view. What kind of message do you send to people when you have a gay educator in education system and a gay judge in the justice system?

The message that discrimination based on sexual orientation is wrong and that gay people are normal human beings? Awful life lesson there, clearly.
And HarryBoy, an in-depth study of the voting demographics of the past election have shown that the black community did not, in fact, contribute in any significant way to the passage of Prop 8.
