Letterman is in his terminal decline. It's gonna be like watching your coworkers aunt die slowly from cancer. You don't really give a fukc, but it sure aint pretty or particularly enjoyable to watch.

I'm talking in a much larger scope then the Palin flop. That's just part of the larger picture. He's been sucking hind teet for quite a bit, getting worse by the week to. The Palin thing won't sink him, but it surely will speed up his demise
