This merits discussion? She was very polite. I can't believe how oversensitive the right is getting. I prefer to be called Patters than some of the other things I've been called here.
This isn't really a "left/right" discussion other than the fact the thread author attempted to make it one. It also doesn't matter how politely this "M'am" made her request, it was arrogant and conceited of her to do so.
I mean who REALLY gives a rat's behind how hard she worked for her title? We all work hard for our titles, but they don't mean jack-squat.

He refers to several other male Senators as Sir and her as Ma'am. Always in a polite tone and never ventured into a disrespectful one. Yet she was the ONLY one who choose to "dress him down" like some kind of child. He being a professional soldier that has dedicated his WHOLE life to service to his country.
A professional, that I might add, has spent that entire career addressing officers and civilians senior to him as "Sir or Ma'am", as ANY good military officer does.
No...... quite simply, she is a fukcing hag, that's so insecure that she gets off treating other people like crap. The general should have said was;

That they are royalty or something. How about go **** yourself you douche! You are OUR employee! These losers still poop on a toilet like the rest of us. We need term limits ASAP, so losers in office have to get real jobs sooner. What a self centered douche.

We have become a society of self-indulgence to the point where public office is seen as a "career move", rather than actually doing public service. Professional politicians are what's killing our government, why it is so expensive, why it does not respond to things that need attention, why it always thinks in terms of "we need a budget for this, we need a budget for that...." Budget, budget, budget. Whatever happened to JFK's, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." Just nice rhetoric, it seems. Now it's all about "money". Hell on earth.

somebody needs to punch that b!tch in the trachea. by the by, military protocol advises officers to use "sir" or "ma'am" when addressing anyone higher than them on the chain of command.
