Were'nt these people held without being charged for seceral years?
Was'nt it determined that they were not a threat to the US?
Let's not leave that part out.
They were wrongly imprisoned by the US, never charged, never given legal counsel, and subsequently released years later.
Talk about rhetoric.

The right's whole game plan is about fear, but I do think many of them are genuinely afraid of foreigners, among others, and that's why they often live in homogeneous areas and own guns.

Dude, every credible voice available -- including his "highness", the Obamarama man -- has said we cannot release virtually ANY of these avowed militant fanatics because they've all said, with pride!!, that they are determined to destroy America and the West.

"Fear" is a perfectly healthy and normal response when one feels threatened. When public schools are ramming sex ed down our children's throats as soon as they enter the school system, and more and more these children are being forced to hear about "Heather has Two Mommies", or "Daddy has a Room Mate", then people naturally recoil. That's why each year more parents send their children to private schools or home school them.
By the same token, when openly avowed haters of America and the West are promising to "destroy America", then it is perfectly natural and normal for people to have some kind of reservations born of the "fear" of total destruction. Duh. People don't work their entire lives to create something beautiful only to see it destroyed. To expect otherwise is delusional.
