Default John Ensign (R-NV) he'd better resign...

This is the same dude who called for Slick Willie to resign after admitting his affair....

‘He Has No Credibility Left’

The Fix - Ensign Acknowledges Extramarital Affair

The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza reports that Sen. John Ensign (R-NV), a member of GOP leadership and a potential candidate for president in 2012, will hold a press conference later today in which he will acknowledge having an extramarital affair “with a campaign staffer who was married to an employee in Ensign’s Senate office.” Ensign flew back to Las Vegas to make the public announcement.

UPDATE, 6:55 p.m.: In a press conference moments ago, Ensign admitted the affair but seemed resolved to remain in political life. "Last year I had an affair," said Ensign. "I violated the vows of my marriage." Ensign did not name the woman with whom he had the affair, saying only that "the woman who I was involved with and her husband were close friends of mine." He added that he was "committed to my service in the United States Senate". Ensign took no questions.

“I came to that conclusion recently, and frankly it’s because of what he put his whole Cabinet through and what he has put the country through,” Ensign said Thursday, becoming the first member of the Nevada delegation to call for Clinton to quit. “He has no credibility left.”

Typical douchebag. He should resign if he demanded Clinton should. He won't of course. Coke or Pepsi.

Yup, he should go. He's lost it, now. Too bad.

Whatever. The same people who claim there's bigger issue to worry about are quick to jump on stupid personal stuff when the party fits.

But consistency is important. Vital, even. One of my biggest flares over Clinton was the Monica thing. What had been going on all his life finally was exposed.

You gotta wonder: if a guy can't be faithful to his wife, how can he be faithful to his country???

Believe me, I'm not a big fan of cheaters nor hypocrites. However sometime yesterday some liberal made a point here of how we need to worry about bigger stuff than the Palin-Letterman thing so this little affair fails to impress me as an issue.

I think everyone should live up to how they expect everyone else to behave. There's lotsa reasons to cheat on your spouse, and some of them are more legit than others, but you should never do it. Divorce her or him and get on with your life if you really need some strange. People who cheat and lie to their spouses are not trustworthy, IMO.

If we can't get the "little things" right, we'll never get the big things right. Guaranteed.
