Fog, your entire approach to life is rooted in repression. Don't act shocked. There's progress, and there's conservatism, the opposite of progress. You want to censor and control all forms of art that displease you, as well as sexual freedoms, the internet, speech, and on and on and on. Your post history bares that out. You hate anything to do with flamboyance of expression. Don't act insulted when someone flatly recognizes your ideology at this point. It just makes it all even funnier.
As for children, it's all about how they're raised, isn't it? Regardless, once aspiring porn stars are adults, it's curious that repressionists would try to control what others do within the law. What happened to personal responsibility? Or does that only apply when conservatives lose their "God-given" right to transfats at restaurants, or other petty inconveniences?
It's a free country, and if Sally wants to fornicate on screen for money, that's her right. A dubious career choice, but not breaking any laws. And perhaps spicing up the sex lives of millions of onlookers mired in missionary monotony.
As for your somewhat laughable and intangible assessment at the end, get back to me when the the "moral" compass of America is used to fertilize crops, deliver food, drive people to work, make plastics, provide refrigeration, medicines, etc., etc., etc.
This isn't about "rights". Sally and you and all of us have the "right" to walk in front of a train or a semi on I-93. But is it "right" to exercise one's "right" to do that?? Again, think of a loved one, if nothing else.
The key point you make is: "it's legal", so "no harm no foul" is the rationale. But again, is that "right"?? Once upon a time -- and for a very long time in America -- it wasn't legal. And not so long ago, either. Legalizing such a deadly exercise -- regardless of the "spicing up of lives" you purport it provides -- is simply to say: "Hey, if you want to play Russian Roulette, it's your life. I put a hundred on Mable to make through to the 'knock out' round." That's an a-moral compass if there ever was one.
The future is truly bleak if such a commercialization of the value of life is what we have arrived at. Fortunately, there are millions in America who do not accept such a destination.
Yes, it IS about how people are raised. And if children are born into a society where deadly practices are legalized merely for the purely selfish pleasure of some, such children will be scarred deeply with disillusion and despair.
Maybe you never heard what Wilt Chamberlain said shortly before he died at the age of 63: "I've had sex with more than 20,000 women in my life, but I would trade that in a minute for having had sex with one women 20,000 times. I tried to settle down, but after a while it just didn't seem possible."

That's quite the extrapolation. Anyhow, yes, it IS about rights. Rights that you can not control, no matter how hard you try.

No one purposefully misrepresents my argument quite the way you do. I used to get angry about it, but I've accepted it as simply you doing what you do. It's your nature. (More on that word "nature" a bit later)
Anyhow, back to being honest, I never said there was "no harm." Not once. I said that it's not illegal, and there's nothing repressionists can ever do about it. You could make the same argument regarding "deadly" vices like alcohol, transfats, tobacco and on and on. Those kill far more people, yet you seem consumed by, and focused upon, sex and sex acts. Why is that?
Regardless, it comes down to personal responsibility, which, ironically, is usually the con man mantra, is it not?

Here's a bit of a newsflash, clergyman: The future already IS truly bleak. But that has more to do with population explosion (more irony, considering the "make more babies" initiative comes from the church).

blah blah blah... and where else would the Church of Fog like to intervene into his fellow Americans' lives? Twinkies are deadly selfish pleasure. Perhaps you should start a thread about that also.

Wilt was hung like an elephant. This is simple supply/demand.
Seriously, that final sentence is telling. He tried, but it wasn't possible. That's nature calling. You know, ... nature? The thing religio-nuts are constantly rejecting and insulating human beings from?
Now, i'm sure as your rage meter increases, you'll be firing back with more incendiary accusations that I'm some porn peddler and "OK" with AIDS, or whatever your exaggeration of the week is.
I believe in God, but I reject organized religion. More and more, each and every day, people are getting further turned off by repressionist rantings like your own. I'm sorry that frustrates you. ... But, well... "nature finds a way."

Unfortunately for them they have built a product based on the wad shot. In most cases that is the highlight when a man is involved. Well ... you can't have this highlight with a condom on. They could work around it ... more story lines like the old days ... porn was better then ... sans the pubes of course. Not really into it myself so I could care less what happens to the industry. Watching 2 people go at it does nothing for me anymore. I'd rather watch 2 animals ... it's funny at least.

No point in another pissing contest. "I have many things to tell you but you are not ready yet ..." comes to mind.
Yes, indeed, nature finds a way ... and those who contradict the laws of nature eventually become extinct. .... or was it the astroids???
Ah, well. Either way, we will see what happens. My money is on self-centered living going the way of the dodo bird. Living for the sake of others is the future.
Peace.

You shouldn't have let Fog get you mad PC. I've always approaced him like this.... I think of the diclaimer: "For Amusment Purposses Only"
And Fog you are in serious need of some Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll.
it was never his geopolitical belief system that got me angry... that's easy to mock.
it's was his routine dishonesty regarding MY position.... the eternal straw man, if you will. well, that, and his default sentiment of "you'll-learn... hellfire is coming for you, sinner" for anyone who doesn't live and worship precisely as he does.
Fog doesn't get me angry any longer. Anyone who honestly blames Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and Russia and porn for causing the simultaneous meltdown of European governments, the crash of the U.S. dollar, tripled energy prices? I mean, how can you be mad at that kind of dude? ya just shake your head.
