Default Palin is a Socialist

Alaska is the biggest welfare state in America.
Look it up.
Republicans are good at name calling, but not much else.
Yeah, I said it.
Money is their god.

CrazyDave, can you give the forum a little more substance than merely this namecalling? If you're going to start a thread, make your point and back it up with more than "look it up".

Otherwise, you're no better than a Left-Wing version of NEPatriot.

Respect the forum.

So did Palin institute these programs?

Whether she did or did not, she is perpetuating them..

But then again we do not understand the context of this argument, so this thread too will descend into idiocy..

Unless they are talking about the state with the largest tax dollar returning..

Sorry, I don't usually post here. At first glance, it looked like a right-wing barbeque. I just figured I'd rattle the cage a bit.

As for Palin, I'm talking about how she made sure that all Alaskans get a check every year from the oil companies. I believe she said that Alska's oil was a resource that belonged to all the people of Alaska, and that they should all share in the wealth.
pretty Socialistic I think.

Alaska deserves to share in "their" oil revenue as long as the rest of the country doesn't spend a dime on anything else Alaska enjoys, like defense, oil company subsidies, or anything else someone from Florida might have to pitch in for.

And in keeping with the thread, I'm not posting any links or backing up my arguement with anything.

Not a fan of Palin.. but there is a lot more to this picture than meets the eye.. it originated in 1976....

Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation

Quote:
In 1976, as the Alaska pipeline construction neared completion, Alaska voters approved a constitutional amendment to establish a dedicated fund: the Alaska Permanent Fund.

The Fund is invested in an diversified portfolio of public and private asset classes. All investments, whether in Alaska or around the world, must be expected to produce income with an acceptable level of risk. The Fund is not invested in projects that are primarily focused on economic or social development.

That's cool, I appreciate the explanation and your understanding.

Finally something likeable about Palin. Maybe we should follow Alaska's example, and do the same with all utility and energy companies, and might as well throw in the banks as well.
