The Raw Story House committee subpoenas Federal Reserve

The congressional panel investigating what happened to all that bank bailout money has issued a subpoena to the Federal Reserve, asking them to hand over all documents relating to the takeover of Merrill Lynch by the Bank of America.

Think of it this way. Your next door neighbor opens a credit card in your name. Subsequently buying a new car, boat and RV. Since the bill is in your name, you are obligated to pay the bill.

Was the money every actually yours? Of course not. But you owe the debt. And you have no say as to the way the money is spent nor how much debt is created in your name.

So where did the TARP money come from? The future income earned by you, your kids and grand kids.
