You bring up a very salient point. Obama is showing that he is not a dogmatist - - he is a pragmatist. So, yes, he can change his position if he sees that his earlier position was flawed. He will not blindly follow his position down a rabbit hole for fear of sounding "wishy-washy" or not perfect.
Look, I don't think the guy is perfect, but I see him as very competent, thorough, coldly calculating and he goes for the jugular without loudly giving away his intentions. In foreign policy, we need that kind of leadership after what we've been through the past 8 years.
