obama's poll numbers are marginally OK. They are right around what is typical at this point which is actually bad given how desperate his voters were for him to succeed. It's too early for them to give up on their "too big to fail" loser president.

60-30 (Fox) is "marginally OK"?

Granted the 54-46 from Rasmussen is "marginally OK", but as shown in sdaniels' comprehensive rundown from RealClearPolitics.com - - Rasmussen is the far outlier amongst 12+ major pollsters.

I saw a graph with obama and other presidents at this point in their terms and he was slightly above average in comparison, basically right in the middle.

You did see the title of this thread, right?

Granted he OP has trouble with the English language.

I understood that he meant historically low for obama, which admittedly is a short history.

If you look at Sdaniels link, and open it up for Obama's complete history of his approval rating, you can see he's trending downward. He's at an average of +25, so look at his past months and see where his numbers are mostly sitting, versus now. Furthermore, click on the individual polls, and see where his numbers are trending there as well. In each, his disaproval rating has mostly risen by double. Historically speaking, presidents always enjoy good ratings early in their presidency. I'd venture to guess that Obama will get a longer leesh than most, considering both the times, and the histroical significance of his election. Picking one poll out of 10 is cherry picking. So I think looking at the trends more fluidly, will give you a better idea of what's going on. Either way, it's a poll, and we all know what I think of those.
