Default Americans don't want salary caps

Let's get something on the table right now.

Americans do NOT want a change from capitalism to socialism. And don't give me that "we're already socialist" crap...because we're not.

We don't want limits put upon salaries as a way of life in this nation. We don't want our government to force companies to only produce healthy food. We want our vices if we choose to take them.

Government can't control society to that extent and I believe American see such a life as hell on earth.

I stated when I voted for Obama that Americans wanted change. Change like controls on or elimination of corp. lobbyists, pollution, corruption and gov't waste.

I did not vote for our government attempting to attempting to restrict economic opportunity in any way for the individual.

The new American Dream..."You can make it big in America!...well, to a point anyway"

There are no salary caps, except in companies where as taxpayers we have invested. If those companies turn around, they will be free to reward people as they see fit. The government will no longer be involved. Economic opportunity is just as great now as it always was with the exception of a very small number of jobs in a very small number of companies. It's a temporary measure to protect Americans from companies that have acted in a reckless manner from abusing the bailout money.

Make sure you understand this PR - if we go to a system where the government is paying for our healthcare then prepare for foods they deem to be bad to be banned or taxed to a ridiculous level. It doesn't even have to be
"single payer", if the government is paying for the healthcare of a high enough percentage of people they can claim "lowering health care costs" as an excuse to ban or tax anything they want. It a dangerous, slippery slope. And if someone disagrees they can ask how they would have felt about a Salary Cap a few months ago.

First, remember that obama won't let them return the money right now. Second, it's going to get worse before it gets better when he guarantees the debts of the states - he will then own the states.

The polls are showing it.

Rasmussen Reports: The Most Comprehensive Public Opinion Data Anywhere

Rasmussen's daily tracking poll has those strongly approve minus strongly disapprove of obama at a flat zero today. It was +28 on inauguration day. It's just a one day poll, it moves around a lot, but the trend is clear and obvious. His overall approval of 54% is also an all time low for him.

Rather than cherry pick polls and use just one daily tracking poll, let's use an aggregate of all major polls. Rasmussen is certainly outlier, but then again so are your views:

Obama And His Gang Don't Care What Americans Want

Remember, Castro & Chavez Love Obama (does that say anything)
