I am certain the gas tax will go up significantly, that's the only way obama can get people to buy the cars he wants them to.

american made or american named or union made????

many toyotas and hondas are american made with more american made parts than GM

its not a bait.......I purchased an accord about a year ago, and based on the sticker, it a) was manufactured in the US b) with 80% of its parts manufactured in the US .... I also took the time to look at a chevy malibu and the same model in a saturn, and both of them said 60% of the parts were manufactured in the US, so in reality, an accord is more american made than a malibu

I don't care if it's "part of the stimulus", it's still tax money and it's still subsidizing someone who bought a car at, say, 16 MPG at the expense of a car that gets, say, 22.

Why not make it a car that gets 5+ MPG more than the car you're trading in ? obama loves to pick favorites doesn't he. Fricking assshole (him, not you).

Ford is getting screwed for not letting the Feds take the company:

true that, but ford still has the luxury of making its own decisions.........ford could take the path of honda and toyota and streamline its product line ........ and that the cars they do build are damned good ones......currently, fords product line does not suffer from the horrific products that the GM and chrysler do........ford is reasonably competitive with most of its entries
