Welp, I suppose it's all in the chronology: how long after she gave her answer was it until she was made a right wing icon? As I recall it was pretty simultaneous. Why is she an icon? Because she's holy and moral and wholesome enough to decry gay marriage, dabgummit! Um yeah but what about the nudie pix and the fake tits th Miss CA pageant bought her? WITCH HUNT WITCH HUNT!!!!

Why is it that people in here, or even in the press, continuously paint the right as the only people who are against gay marraige? Are african americans in California right wing? Cuz last I checked they were the deciding factor in that proposition vote. Ah, but we won't dare criticize them. Anyone wanna tell me where the leader of the democratic party, and our president sits on this issue? I'm curious.

That's total BS. This is charactor assasination by the very people who claim to be open to dialogue, different views, etc. You know, those debate and discussion people. This girl probably couldn't tell you what the square root of 81 is, but guess what, she's a BEAUTY PAGEANT CONTESTANT . She shouldn't have to know what it is. She's eye candy (rather nice eye candy as were just about all of the POA's on that stage), and as Pats42 correctly stated, if she had said "I think we live in a country where all people should have the ability to marry whomever they choose, regardless of gender...yada, yada, yada...." She'd have been hailed as princess of the universe by the left, and parade in SF would have had a float just for her. Instead, she gets investigated, and dragged through the mud. Don't get me wrong, were the tides turned, I'm sure it would be the sanctity of marraige people, that would likely be looking for some dirt, to denegrate her with. So it goes in today's world. We want people to speak their minds, openly and honestly, but only if we're going to agree with what they say.

Let me be clear on how I feel about her. I think she's sultry hot. A total smoke show, and I want to.....nevermind . I think she answered the question honestly. A question that was extremely inappropriate for that setting IMO. Her answer was the opposite of that which Perez, and most in that beauty community were seaking. As a result, she has been dragged through the mud for it. We always ask for honest answers, and transparency. Well, why would anyone answer honestly, if they are going to be punished for it personally? That's why I'm bothered by this. Again, she could be a total whore in her personal life, or a loser of monumental porportions. That doesn't change the issue here. At least it doesn't for me.
You obviously have not read the same info I did on Drudge, Townhall, Worldnet and Newsmax.. every day they pounded home the left wing conspiracy, all the while most of the left stayed silent as there was no need to comment.. never mind all the rhetoric spewed by Hannity and O'Reilly.. it is the same campaign borrowed from the Liberals do not want you to have christmas..
All of this does not have to do with her actual content, it has to do with the belief that the right wants you all to believe that it was a big deal for the left.. you need to read this stuff discriminately. The subsequent effort was to paint her as a victim of the vast left wing media conspiracy.. while in reality it was not a big deal.
There would have been no parades in San Francisco or anything else... please spare the hysteria for the less intelligent posters.. she was set up by a dude who revels in doing this, he should not have done it.. the real winners in all of this are Perez ( who most folks never heard of) and "The Donald".. No need to wonder, it was news that could have gone away like most things do in this ADD nation, but the right saw another opportunity to play it big time.. if you want some fun go to Worldnet and search for Prejean on their site.... or search the archives of O'Reilly.. they did not want it to die, even they made something that had 5 minutes of news value into an 90 minute documentary.. even today there is minimal coverage on the left blogs, but there is an underlying assumption that Prejean won something by being on Fox and Friends.. if this is who the right wants to hang to, so be it.. it makes great comedy and show serious fallacy of thought on what direction they should be heading into. Do you really believe that their base gives a crap about her??
